Am David's
Religious School
Temple Am David's Hebrew school has been designed to provide our children with the skills necessary to be life-long particpants in the Jewish community. Our goal is to provide a meaningful Jewish education in a family-oriented enviorment.
Am David recognizes the needs of families. To accommodte parents of children of all ages, Am David has the:
Eunice Zeidman Program for children ages 4 - 6. This program meets Sundays.
Religious School for children ages 7 - 13, Tuesdays and Sundays
Junior Congregation for all Religious School children held twice each month ties in with our curriculum, stressing meaning, not memorization of prayers.
Midrasha for post-bnei mitzvah children. Am David participates in the Rhode Island wide educational program which meets Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
Parent Workshops are held monthly and provide both parents and children the opportunity to explore facets of Judaism as a family.
Friday Night Family Services are held regularly throughout the year as a compliment to the more traditional service. Through family-oriented perspective, these services enhance everyone's understanding of the service.
We are also affiliated with the Shalom Friends program designed for families with infants up to age 5. This fun-filled music and motion program launches the children on their Jewish journey.
We've extended our tradition of fostering a famil-oriented Jewish learning environment through programming such as:
Model Seders for our students and parents.
Havdalah Services where we make our own family havdalah kits.
Fun Family Shabbats - Yes, you can have pizza on Shabbat.
Shalach Manot delivering our home-made hamantashen.
And the list goes on as we continue to develop unique programming designed to explore every facet of Jewish life.
Please join us and see how easy it is to instill a connection with the Jewish community in every member of your family.
