The congregation of Temple Am David, through a succession of mergers, which adapted to the changing Jewish Community in Rhode Island, celebrates a rich history dating back more than 100 years.

Today, Am David is a leading Conservative synagogue complete with a beautiful sanctuary, newly renovated social hall, recently modernized school wing, and library. Our Temple's gift shop offers an excellent array of both the usual and the unusual religious gift items. Bridal registry is available.

Am David strives to be a second home to congregants. Our synagogue is a place where one can enjoy friendship, comfort and renewal in a traditional Jewish sense, while keeping focused on ever changing needs facing the Jewish community.

Our Temple is a place of worship and a center for spiritual, educational, and cultural enrichment. We believe strongly that the practice of Judaism should be a meaningful and enjoyable experience for all our members.
